Dear Mr. EFL Answer Man:
Good morning.
I have a question about Lorenzen who was traded: When do I need to decide about accepting this trade? I think it was after the close of the FA list, but just want to make sure to look into it if I need to decide today.
Thanks

Dear Potential:
We talked about this at the draft but without looking at the rule. Here is the rule:
MLB/EFL Trades: Any time a trade is made in MLB, if an EFL team owns all the major league pieces in one side of the trade: 1.) it has the option of making the identical trade effective immediately in the offseason, and before the next roster deadline during the season.
This is very straightforward: you have to decide before the the next roster deadline after the trade. This is not convenient if the roster deadline is 11:59 this evening and the trade goes down at 11:58.
However, fortunately for all of us, the roster deadline is 11:59 PDT this evening, but the trade deadline is 6:00 PM EDT, which means 3:00 here. So the worst-case scenario is an EFL manager would have nearly 8 hours to a) discover one of his players could be traded, and b) decide whether to trade him.
I hope this is the same answer as we came to yesterday.
