Week four! Okay! Let’s get started. Good news: the Pears batted over .300, with an ops about .800. And plenty of at-bats! Even better: the pitchers (just Mike and Joe, but that’s enough for one day) combined for 7.1 innings and only 2 runs. A good day!

But wait, our winning percentage is BELOW .500. What’s going on here?

The GLACIERS, the new team, the team that should be plopping down to enable the Pears to triumph, had an unadjusted winning percentage above .700! The melting ice cubes had a better day than the Pears. Ack! Is there no justice in the universe? The Cascadia fans should have to suffer–I don’t know, for ten or fifteen years–before they enjoy such glorious results.

Grumble, grumble.
