Pittsburgh Alleghenys | 13.25 | 11.75 | .530 | 2.6 |
Flint Hill Tornadoes | 12.48 | 12.52 | .499 | 3.4 |
Salem Seraphim | 10.90 | 14.10 | .436 | 5.0 |
Cascadia Glaciers | 10.81 | 14.19 | .432 | 5.1 |
Portland Rosebuds | 10.59 | 14.41 | .424 | 5.3 |
Kaline Drive | 10.03 | 14.97 | .401 | 5.8 |
Old Detroit Wolverines | 7.59 | 17.41 | .304 | 8.3 |
The Pears have widened their lead to 2.3 games.
The second-place Dragons lead the 10th-place Drive by 2.5 games. That’s 9 teams in a space only 2.5 games wide. What a great, competitive dogpile!!
The Drive lead the 11th-place Wolverines by 2.5 games.
We have essentially splintered into three leagues:
- The Super EFL: The Peshastin Pears. Presumably the Pears are having fun all alone up there, in a league of their own.
- The Normal EFL: Nine teams. Presumably you nine normal teams are having fun with your lively, suspenseful race among “mere mortal” but still elite professional teams.
- The Unofficially-But-Effectively-Relegated EFL: I may have to resume publishing EFL teams’ positions in MLB standings, so I can follow the race among the Wolverines, Rockies, Athletics, and. White Sox. Like this:
U-B-E-R EFL *
OAK | 9 | 15 | 0.375 | 0 |
OD | 7.6 | 17.4 | 0.304 | 1.9 |
HOU | 7 | 17 | 0.292 | 2 |
COL | 6 | 18 | 0.250 | 3 |
MIA | 6 | 19 | 0.240 | 3.5 |
CWS | 3 | 20 | 0.130 | 5.5 |
Behind the “Oakland” A’s, but ahead of the Astros? And WAY ahead of the White Sox? It could be worse.
Banking on 3 White Sox minor league prospects? Yeah, that’s probably one way it could be worse.
The Pears might like to see how they stack up with their class of MLB teams.
SUPER EFL
CLE | 17 | 6 | 0.739 | 0 |
ATL | 16 | 6 | 0.727 | 0.5 |
NYY | 16 | 8 | 0.667 | 1.5 |
BAL | 15 | 8 | 0.652 | 2 |
PP | 15.9 | 9.1 | 0.635 | 2.1 |
MIL | 14 | 8 | 0.636 | 2.5 |
PHI | 15 | 9 | 0.625 | 2.5 |
CHC | 14 | 9 | 0.609 | 3 |
The Pears are playing with the big boys now.
*Yes, I realize “uber” is a double-entendre, connoting a ride service AND being above others. I am trying to lift spirits on my team. You want to lift your team’s spirits? You can write a post or post a comment any time.
